Sweet Seasons Corn Maze is open on Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays through November 6, 2017. Attempt the corn maze during the day or on Friday nights if you dare maneuver the maze in the dark. Besides the corn maze, there are so many other activities to enjoy while visiting the farm, including the hayride, corn cannon, and the many kids playground attractions. Of course, if you get hungry, there are food and snacks, too!
Don’t miss the Nightmare on the Old Spanish Trail. This haunted trail in Baker is only a short ride from the Fort Walton Beach and Destin area and well worth the visit. However, prepare yourself for the terror you will find in the woods during your journey through the trail. You never know who or what may be lurking behind the bend or tree. Ticket sales begin 1 hour prior to opening and the last tickets are sold 1 hour prior to closing.
If you love live music, you’ll love Bands on the Blackwater in Milton. This FREE outdoor concert series is held on Friday nights in the Spring and Fall in Downtown Milton, FL. Get a jump on Halloween with Halloween Haunt at Destin Commons. Kids & dogs can come dressed in their best costumes for the Costume Contest for ages 0-12 that begins at 6:00 PM. Trick or treating will be from 7:00 – 8:00 PM at various sidewalk stations throughout Destin Commons and at participating stores. Other Halloween activities such as fantasy face painting, creepy crafts, and a photo booth will also be available.
Costume contests not just for the kids, but the adults too! If you are over 18 come on out Saturday, October 28th, for live music, fireworks, and the adult costume contest. Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about the kids or our four-legged friends! On Sunday, October 29th, at 2pm the costume contest for the kiddos will take place. Shortly after that, at 4pm, the pet costume contest will commence!
Don’t miss Tricks & Treasures at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island. This event offers an evening of free fun with safe trick or treating. live entertainment, live music, carnival games, a hula hoop contest, and more! Kids eat free with the coupon you receive at the event! Be sure to pick up your treasure map outside Black Pearl and visit each merchant on the map for an X, then drop off your treasure map at The Crab Trap for a special treat! Captain Davy and crew will be entertaining everyone with plenty of pirate shenanigans, music, balloon sculpting, and more at Al’s Beach Club & Burger Bar from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Trick or treat through the village streets of the tranquil Baytowne Wharf. Face painting & Halloween crafts will be provided by Abrakadoodle. Dance on the stage as the DJ playing frighteningly good tunes. There will be fireworks over the Baytowne Lagoon starting at 8pm.

This is one Christmas activity you don’t want to miss. Each year, the residents of Northgate Estates in Fort Walton Beach come together for an amazing display of luminaries and Christmas lights. Hundreds of houses within this neighborhood display massive Christmas decorations. The sense of community is incredible as you see many residents of the neighborhood celebrating the event with outdoor block parties surrounding a toasty, warm fire pit while waiving to the thousands of onlookers. As you slowly drive through the subdivision, you’ll see dancing lights on houses, religious displays, Santa Claus, and other Christmas characters. Join the City of Fort Walton Beach and the residents of our great city to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season with our annual Fort Walton Beach Christmas Parade. This event will get you into the Christmas spirit with plenty of marching bands playing Christmas music, festive floats, candy, beads, and other throws. This fun Christmas event is great for all ages!Parade route is on Eglin Parkway beginning at First Street and ending at the Kmart parking lot.
The Destin Harbor will be dancing with holiday lights and cheer during the 31st Annual Destin Boat Parade. Visit with Santa Claus from 12:00-4:00 PM at HarborWalk Village’s Main Stage. Boat Parade will light up the harbor beginning at 6:00 PM with fireworks following the parade and firespinning on HarborWalk Village’s main stage with Just Add Fire.
If you really want to experience the true meaning of Christmas, the Cross Creek Hayride hosted by Ropin’ the Truth Ministries will take you through the life of Jesus Christ, starting with his birth, continuing through his crucifixion and into his resurrection. You will experience a series of dramatic scenes by volunteers while you ride through the woods on a hayride. Other activities are on site such as horseback riding, crafts, refreshments, and more! This event is completely free and everyone is invited.

The annual Live Nativity presented by First Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach will be December 15-20 from 6-8:30 pm. This event is FREE and includes real animals including goats, sheep, miniature ponies, and camels. Have your photo taken with Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus!

HarborWalk Village will host a New Year’s Eve Street Party to wind down 2017 and welcome 2018. Party the night away with thousands of people and enjoy a live concert, great dining, drinks, dancing, and more. The 9th Annual Ball Drop over the harbor will be back again this year. The restaurant will be offering some liquid courage cocktails before the official splash into the Gulf of Mexico at 11:30 AM. 63rd Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival 2018 schedule will be posted below as the festival approaches. Billy Bowlegs is a fun event for the whole family. There are tons of activities for kids as well as vendors selling pirate booty and local crafts. There will be great live music, and food vendors selling everything from ice cream to seafood. The festival is on Friday and Saturday, June 1-2, 2018. The fireworks display will be on June 1 at 9:00 pm. The Torchlight Parade will be on June 4 at 7:00 pm.
The Billy Bowlegs Torchlight Parade is one of the largest parades on the Emerald Coast. Come join the whole city on June 4, 2018 in this fun parade with Captain Billy Bowlegs and his Krewe. The Krewe of Bowlegs, along with many local businesses, will be sharing their wealth by throwing out plenty of beads, candy, doubloons, and other pirate booty. This parade is filled with festive music, costumes, beautifully crafted floats, marching bands, and a fun crowd all along the parade route. 2018 Torchlight Parade Route The route begins from downtown Fort Walton Beach, FL at 7:00 pm on Monday, June 4, 2018 and heads north up Eglin Parkway, ending just past Uptown Station (at Hughes St).
