The annual Live Nativity presented by First Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach will be December 18-23, 2017 from 6-8:30 pm. This event is FREE and includes real animals including goats, sheep, miniature ponies, and camels. Have your photo taken with Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus!

Shop for fresh and local produce on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month – year-round! The farmers’ market opens at 8am and stays open through 1pm at the Fort Walton Beach Landing. In addition to locally grown fruits and vegetables, you’ll also find an array of handmade crafts and unique items.

The Boardwalk presents the 2nd Annual Pelican Plunge benefiting The Emerald Coast Foundation! ​ SUNDAY, JANUARY 1, 2018 PLUNGE TIME: 11:30 AM REGISTRATION FEE: TBA 2018 Schedule TBA ​ First 100 registrants receive a free long-sleeved Pelican Plunge shirt thanks to Islanders Coastal Outfitter! All proceeds benefit the Emerald Coast Foundation, a charitable organization committed to investing the in the youth of Northwest Florida. The Emerald Coast Foundation benefits children’s charities such as ARC of the Emerald Coast, All Sports Association, Children in Crisis, and the Eleanor Johnson Youth Center. Day-of registration for the plunge begins at 10:30 AM at The Boardwalk’s common area located just below The Crab Trap. The restaurant will be offering some liquid courage cocktails before the official splash into the Gulf of Mexico at 11:30 AM. A post-plunge party will also take place at The Crab Trap and include warming hot-cocoa, coffee, and tasty gumbo. 63rd Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival 2018 schedule will be posted below as the festival approaches. Billy Bowlegs is a fun event for the whole family. There are tons of activities for kids as well as vendors selling pirate booty and local crafts. There will be great live music, and food vendors selling everything from ice cream to seafood. The festival is on Friday and Saturday, June 1-2, 2018. The fireworks display will be on June 1 at 9:00 pm. The Torchlight Parade will be on June 4 at 7:00 pm.

The Billy Bowlegs Torchlight Parade is one of the largest parades on the Emerald Coast. Come join the whole city on June 4, 2018 in this fun parade with Captain Billy Bowlegs and his Krewe. The Krewe of Bowlegs, along with many local businesses, will be sharing their wealth by throwing out plenty of beads, candy, doubloons, and other pirate booty. This parade is filled with festive music, costumes, beautifully crafted floats, marching bands, and a fun crowd all along the parade route. 2018 Torchlight Parade Route The route begins from downtown Fort Walton Beach, FL at 7:00 pm on Monday, June 4, 2018 and heads north up Eglin Parkway, ending just past Uptown Station (at Hughes St).
